On June 6, 2021, the "Electromechanical Engineering Training" course jointly organized by Wuhan Jingtian Electric and Wuhan University started, and Wuhan Jingtian Electric provided the NAO robots needed in the classroom.
The "Electromechanical Engineering Training" course is a professional course for the Hony Classroom of Wuhan University. The course lasts for one day. The main content is to learn the basic knowledge of humanoid robots in a group with two people as a team, and operate the NAO robot by hand. , Realize the five course tasks of "robot speaking and dancing", "human-computer interaction", "machine walking", "LED setting", and "party simulation scene" comprehensive experiment, and can autonomously complete simple programming tasks, such as specific Listening to instructions, etc.
The purpose of the course is to enable students to understand humanoid robots and stimulate their interest in robot learning; learn graphical programming to get an introduction to Python programs, improve programming ability, and lay a good foundation for future subject learning.
This NAO robot has a human-like appearance, with a height of 58cm and a weight of 5.4kg. The state and force of the robot can be obtained through sensors, so as to design control algorithms and write codes to control motors to realize intelligent control. At the same time, it has an open embedded software programming framework that can be used for secondary development. It is the first choice for understanding humanoid robots and programming operations. It is very suitable for college classroom applications.
During the learning process, a lively discussion atmosphere was maintained in the classroom. Under the guidance of the teacher, the students maintained a high degree of interest in machine learning. Through their own operation and setting procedures, the students completed robot dancing, voice recognition, instruction execution, etc. This course has become one of the most interesting courses for students because of the high dexterity, strong interaction and easy operation of the NAO robot.
