Recently, the Autonomous Robot Technology Seminar (ARTS) hosted by the Chinese Society of Automation was held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), with over 600 young scholars attending.
The Autonomous Robotics Technology Seminar (ARTS), as an important component of the CAA Youth e-Summit of the Chinese Society of Automation, mainly focuses on sensing and perception, autonomous navigation, state estimation, mobile robot positioning and mapping, motion planning, modeling and control, and multi robot systems.
Wuhan Jingtian Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., as the gold sponsor of this conference, was invited by the conference organizer. Lisa, the head of the Jingtian team in the South China region, gave a 15 minute speech at the conference, titled "Construction of an Intelligent Navigation Laboratory". She also demonstrated the Dingo robot controlled by cloud at the Baogu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of China University of Geosciences located in Wuhan.
Jingtian Robotics is a company founded in 2010, with a team from universities and dedicated to serving university users for 13 years. In 2014, Jingtian firmly chose the robotics industry, from being the authorized agent of SoftBank Group's NAO Robotics to now becoming an integrator dedicated to providing intelligent navigation laboratory solutions for university users. Jingtian has served a total of 2095 university users, and has cooperated with 70.64% of the 109 universities supported by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
This year, Jingtian Robotics has clarified the direction of cloud control and established three major laboratory technology centers, namely: Donghu Robotics Laboratory, Xihu Robotics Laboratory, and Brain Laboratory. And jointly with the Hubei Luojia Laboratory of Wuhan University, it has been approved as a major project in Hubei Province titled "Research on Key Technologies of Intelligent PNT and Application of Unmanned Systems". As a technical support, this aims to provide more focused and professional intelligent navigation on the segmented track.
This also highly responds to the major strategic needs of our country's "14th Five Year Plan" for the development of the robot industry, promoting the three core technologies of PNT positioning, navigation, and timing, covering from indoor to outdoor, deep sea to deep space, and supporting the development of intelligent and unmanned applications.
Through accumulation and learning in the industry, and focusing on the current research status of mobile robots, we have found that when completing single agent tasks, we may encounter the above problems to a greater or lesser extent.

Here, I recommend a supporting textbook called "Autonomous Intelligent Navigation of Robots". This book was written by Professor Guo Chi's team from the Satellite Positioning and Navigation Center of Wuhan University, and recommended by Academicians Liu Jingnan and Wang Yaonan in the preface. The above is a relevant case of the Jingtian team serving the construction of intelligent navigation laboratories in universities. For example, research projects such as intelligent navigation for heterogeneous groups at South China University of Technology, distributed control at Shanghai University of Science and Technology, positioning navigation and mobile grabbing at Shenzhen University of Technology, and multi-agent collaborative mobile grabbing at the University of Science and Technology of China.
Jingtian has always believed that robots will not replace scientists, but they will replace scientists who do not know how to use robots. Therefore, Jingtian hopes to use first-class platforms and professional systems to serve the construction of laboratories in universities, and contribute to the scientific research and teaching career of university workers.
Finally, I (Lisa) would like to quote a line that Professor Amelia Brand has been repeating in Star Trek movies: "Do not go gene into that good night." Especially when I see young scholars present who are quite outstanding in the field of intelligent navigation. So even if there are moments of confusion and hesitation, please do not lose your passion for scientific research and do not give up the pursuit of ideals. The future is really promising, please continue to work hard. I hope everyone gathered here can walk together in the robotics industry and persist together for a longer time. Because it belongs to the dawn of the machine industry, it will always come.
