SoftBank NAO


NAO-Edu-V6 is the sixth-generation artificial intelligence robot developed by Aldebaran Robotics in France. It was acquired by SoftBank Group in 2014. The NAO robot is 58cm tall and weighs 5.4kg. The main hardware includes CPU, motherboard, speaker, microphone, infrared sensor, camera, sonar system, Hall effect sensor, steering gear, voice synthesizer, inertial sensor unit, etc. The NAO robot has an open embedded software programming framework and can be used for secondary development. It has a human-like appearance, and obtains the state and force of the robot through sensors, so as to design the control algorithm and write the code to control the motor to realize its intelligent control. Can be applied to: machine vision, audio processing, pattern recognition, positioning navigation, motion control, intelligent system control, information fusion, brain-computer interface, artificial intelligence, machine learning, multi-agent, human-computer interaction, autism, Internet of Things , ROBOCUP competition, Jingtian Cup humanoid robot relay competition, etc.


Strong open performance
The 5th generation of NAO robots opened more than 1,200 API interface library functions, and the 6th generation of NAO robots newly released in 18 years opened more than 1,700 API interfaces for call.
Multiple degrees of freedom
Height 58cm, bipedal humanoid design structure, integrated 25 degrees of freedom. They are: 2 necks, 4 shoulders, 4 elbows, 2 wrists, 2 fingers, 1 waist, 4 hips, 2 knees, and 4 ankles.
Perfect software system
The supporting software includes: Choregraphe visual programming software, you only need to drag the action instruction box library to create the behavior of the robot. MONITOR software, real-time acquisition of NAO robot sensor and joint data. The SDK development kit supports WIN, LINUX and MAC systems. Support C++, Python, java, Matlab, Net and other programming languages. Support ROS.

Multimodal perception system
There are more than 100 sensors in the whole body, including: 2 vision cameras, 4 microphones for sound source positioning, 2 speakers, 2 infrared sensors, 2 sets of sonar systems, 1 inertial sensor unit including 3-axis accelerator and 3-axis Gyroscope, 36 magnetic encoders, programmable light-emitting diode LED, head and hand touch sensor, front foot anti-collision sensor, foot pressure sensor, etc.
